The sun, the moon, and the stars

July 23rd, 2008

A space bedroom isn't complete without some celestial bodies. Here are some suggestions on how to incorporate planets and stars into your outer space room decor.

Hang planets from the ceiling with Solar System Mobiles:

Stick Planets on your Wall with Wallies®:

Stencil your walls with these Planet Stencils from Whimsical Walls

Make your ceiling glow

Use a glow-in-the-dark paint like Golden's Phosphorescent Medium and this stencil from Yowler & Shepps to paint a field of stars and planets on the bedroom ceiling.

You can also use a stencil kit from Ursa Major to replicate the real night sky. If you don't want to paint, buy plastic glow-in-the-dark stars, like those in this Jar of Stars shown, and attach them to your walls and ceiling.
